The challenge

Ojo’s original website was a rushed MVP built on a generic template. It suffered from low conversion rates, cheap pre-packaged animations, and completely failed to communicate their high-end brand identity and sensory philosophy.

The Approach

I led a holistic redesign focused on digital storytelling. I stripped away the template clutter, collaborated with marketing on visual asset direction, prototyped bespoke micro-interactions, and worked closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect execution.

Transformed a generic storefront into a luxury digital flagship. The redesign is currently in final development and launches next month, poised to elevate the brand's market positioning and drive D2C conversion.

01 / Narrative Architecture

Designing the "Switch the Rhythm" Experience

Ojo doesn't just sell physical objects; they architect atmospheres. Their core philosophy, "Switch the Rhythm," needed to be the foundation of the user experience.

I established a custom wireframe architecture that treated scent as a narrative. Every collection was crafted as a distinct chapter, shifting the user's focus from merely buying a candle to immersing themselves in a carefully curated ritual.

Curating the Visual Assets

A luxury digital experience demands flawless visuals. I partnered closely with the marketing team to establish a rigorous standard for all product photography and lifestyle imagery. By ensuring the visual assets aligned perfectly with the UI's whitespace and typography, we maintained a high-end, editorial feel across every touchpoint.

03 / Interaction Design

Prototyping the Micro-Animations

The original website relied on generic, off-the-shelf loading animations that cheapened the brand. I stripped these out and replaced them with purposeful motion design. I built high-fidelity prototypes showcasing subtle parallax scrolls, elegant hover states, and smooth page transitions to gently guide the user's sensory journey without overwhelming them.

04 / Delivery & QA

Pixel-Perfect Engineering Handoff

A premium design is useless if it falls apart in the browser. I am working hand-in-hand with the development team as we approach our launch date. I conduct rigorous QA testing across multiple breakpoints to guarantee that the intricate micro-animations, typography scaling, and high-res image loading will deliver a flawless experience on day one.
